Burger and cheese burger tasted pretty good. The bread edge was little burnt (still tasted good tho), seasoning was nice as well. However I felt the fries wasn’t that satisfying comparing to the burgers. Also I need to call out if you are an adult male and coming with an empty stomach, probably it gonna cost you more than 3000円 (along with a beer) In general it’s still a worthy place to come :)

Credit card Visited around 3 PM on a weekday. The interior seats about 8–10 groups. Burgers come with fries by default, and drinks are ordered separately. The menu is mostly burger options, with prices around ¥2,000. We ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger and the Mozzarella Mushroom Burger. The fries on the side were thick-cut, crispy, and delicious. The Bacon Cheeseburger tasted exactly like the ideal burger — the bun was toasted with butter, and the patty and sauce paired perfectly. The Mozzarella Mushroom Burger had a great balance of white sauce, melted mozzarella, and sautéed mushrooms. If you’re in Bunkyō, I highly recommend stopping by! They also offer the option to swap the bun for lettuce.

I went to Firehouse Burger in Suidobashi on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm — it was quite busy, there was a small line as it is a popular place. The kitchen was running smoothly with three cooks and a waiter, so things moved quickly despite the queue. I ordered the Mozzarella mushroom burger and I loved it ! The patty wasn’t thick, but it was well-seasoned and cooked just right. They used white mushrooms (Paris mushrooms) and they were raw (not cook and totally safe) which is very unusual in Japan. I really loved that as I used to eat these raw mushrooms when I was living in France. The bun was clearly from a proper bakery, soft and slightly toasted. For me the bread is very important and it was perfect. There wasn’t any fancy sauce, just a bit of mayo, but honestly, it worked well with the overall balance of flavors and mostly with the raw mushrooms. The fries on the side were fresh, skin-on, not too oily, and had that soft-inside-thick-cut texture I really like. You also get a small pickle relish on the side — more sour than sweet, which was a nice touch. The atmosphere was nice too, fashionable and not the usual USA diners vibe. Overall the quality and the portion was satisfying and worth the price. Definitely a spot I could come back to.
